THE ART OF

SELF HEALING

and CARE

the journey's map

This program is designed to help you find wholeness in the middle of the chaos and uncertainty, and is trauma aware. In times of physical isolation and social distancing, it is vital to bring touch and embodied practices into our daily life. The practices are gentle but powerful, and will suit everyone, in particular those who are sensitive or empaths, those in the helping professions such as psychotherapists, healers, massage therapists, caregivers, and those dealing with trauma, anxiety, or struggling with lockdown and need some support and guidance to find balance.

Each week has a theme and 5 elements: (1) One video with exercises that you can follow at your own pace (2) mindfulness / meditation in action (3) writing / introspection exercise (4) practices to apply to your daily life (5) I-Ching wisdom and inspiration. As a self-paced course you can find your own rhythm within the practices offered.

Each Saturday you will receive an email with a link and a secret password to access your weekly medicine box. No Zoom or Facebook will be used. You can share your progress with the group in an optional course's community private page or do it Solo, and simply focus on your own self-healing.

All videos are pre-recorded. Claudia is a healer, artist and filmmaker and she creates all the videos and course materials herself, including a beautifully designed website and community page to host this special online course.

A NOTE FROM CLAUDIA

When I started shiatsu in 2003 I had a busy practice in Lisbon. To cope with many treatments each week I develloped exercises for my own self-care as a practicioner, to keep flexible, without tension or pain in my body and with a balanced energy to give the best treatments. I used a combination of yoga, chi gong, self-shiatsu and movement. This became a group class called 'Integrated therapies for relaxation' as I felt important to share with my clients strategies to cope with stress outside the massage room to empower them to look after themselves in their daily situations and health / life challenges. I also gave these sessions in psychotherapy settings to groups as a preparation for bioenergetics workshops.

All these years I continued to follow my intuition, to develop exercises and learn healing arts, creating a sophisticated in-depth holistic approach to my own mind-body health, which was life saving in very challenging situations, including trauma, a heart operation and burnout.

I am a Shiatsu and Jikiden Reiki practicioner, a filmmaker, artist, writer, and a student of everything! in particular trauma, ecology and many different healing Arts, including sound healing with tuning forks / Biofield tuning, Jin Shin Jiytsu and Chi gong. I practice meditation for years, did several silent retreats, both in Buddhist communities and solo. I live in Nature.

Before the pandemic I had my little Shiatsu practice 'Cloud hands' in Brighton. From March I had planned in person workshops at Evolution Arts around healing and self-care - 'Healing touch' and 'Care for Carers' - which due to corona were cancelled. With Covid-19 and social distancing, my first impulse was to continue that line of work. I created a self-help page with very short videos and inspiration for people during the pandemic, to deal with stress, isolation and the virus. I have also been doing distant treatments of Jikiden Reiki, Energy Clearing and Biofield tuning and joined Reiki-Medic-Care to offer distant Reiki to NHS staff working in hospitals. Since July 2020 I have also been writing a new series of blog posts that I call 'Musings on healing and self-healing' - you can find the links here.

In the sequence of the global situation, I feel that self-healing and self-care is more important than ever and perhaps the teaching of the virus. This online course is my response to share and offer, in depth ways of support for these uncertain times. One that is flexible, that you can do from home, at your own pace, where we can co-create individual and collective healing.

Combining my experience as a filmmaker, with the healing work, I designed a program with videos and exercises, that is both simple and deep, that includes body, mind, energy, and mindfulness practices that you can apply to directly improve your daily life.
